Ana Maria Vera

Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Ana-Maria Vera has been performing around the world since childhood. An American pianist of Dutch-Bolivian origin, Vera made her professional debut when she was eight, and was awarded a Gold Record by Philips for her first recording at age twelve. She has performed at the White House for President Carter, and at age sixteen was honoured by the Bolivian state with a commemorative postage stamp.

Vera has appeared as soloist with the worlds’ leading orchestras and given countless solo recitals in venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Salle Gaveau in Paris and London’s Wigmore.

In 2011 Vera founded Bolivia Clásica, a charitable organization which supports an international music festival and a music academy and outreach programme. Focused on offering quality education to underprivileged Bolivian children via international cultural exchange, Bolivia Clásica includes non-profit platforms in London, La Paz and Washington D.C.
